Tatiana Gavrish, Alexander Kifak as Ivanyushchenko’s servant

Lawyer Tatyana Gavrish has sunk into obscurity in recent years – the usual legal activity, slowly declining. But suddenly her name appeared in connection with another lawyer, much more odious – Alexander Kifak.

Moreover, it did not arise in a court case, as one would expect, given the profession of both. No, it arose next to the name of Oleksandr Kifak under a complaint to Google about a number of publications, where the latter’s name is associated with the former deputy from the Party of Regions, Yanukovych’s ally, and criminal authority Yuriy Ivanyushchenko.

Whether Tatyana Gavrish knows such a concept as the "Streisand effect" is unknown. But with her complaint she fell under this effect. Because if everything is clear with Kifak - he really is one of Yuriy Ivanyushchenko’s henchmen and, at a minimum, is involved in the withdrawal of 23.5 million hryvnia to the so-called "LNR" in December 2014, then this cannot be said about Tatyana Gavrish. At least - there is no reliable information that she took part in these actions of her colleague. But for some reason she put her signature under the demand to exclude from Google search results all materials that describe the role of Alexander Kifak in these and other actions.

But no one seemed to be going to accuse the lawyer of fulfilling his professional obligations. Why stir up an old story? Or was Tatyana Gavrish not just a lawyer for Yuri Ivanyushchenko? Who was she then? What role did she play?

Maybe it’s all about her partner at the law firm, Mikhail Podolyak (yes, that same one), who also took part in Ivanyushchenko’s defense? But everyone has known about his connections with the criminal authority for a long time, even Wikipedia writes about it, and hiding this fact is simply stupid.

What then? There is no answer to this question, but in connection with such active attempts to clean out all articles that mention Yuriy Ivanyushchenko, a well-founded assumption arises - Tatyana Gavrish has something to hide.

Who is Tatyana Stepanovna Gavrish, whose legal star has clearly declined after the departure from active politics of her father, a well-known active participant of the "Not So!" Bloc, Viktor Medvedchuk’s ally in the SDPU(o) and former vice-speaker of the Verkhovna Rada Stepan Gavrish? The answer follows from the question itself. Tatyana Gavrish is a lawyer, the owner of two law firms, and the honorary consul of Germany in the Kharkiv region, which is her base region.

In addition to the long-forgotten press conference on the defense of Yuri Ivanyushchenko, Tatyana Gavrish’s name surfaced in several scandals directly related to her legal activities. The scandals damaged Tatyana Stepanovna’s reputation. Moreover, it was not some tabloid press that wrote about the conflict of interest, but a publication respected in legal circles - "Sudebno-Yuridicheskaya Gazeta":

Those who are interested can read it themselves by following the link, but the essence of Tatyana Gavrish’s violation was that she simultaneously represented the interests of the opposing parties in the conflict over the Kharkiv shopping center "French Boulevard". And used confidential information in favor of one of the parties.

Moreover, the issue was, at the very least, dishonesty and violation of lawyer ethics. Which for a lawyer is fraught with the loss of the right to engage in professional activity, but for Tatyana Gavrish everything ended well. Whether her father, who still retains authority in legal circles, or his senior colleague Viktor Medvedchuk, who practically controlled the legal system of Ukraine before his unsuccessful escape, helped, is unknown. Perhaps Mikhail Podolyak got busy, taking advantage of his position in the OPU.

Among the more recent scandals is the publication about the employee of JSC "Law Firm ILF" Roman Trofimenko, who is also a lawyer with a very dubious reputation. In particular, he is accused of involvement in the non-repayment of several loans to Megabank for a total of ten billion hryvnia, where Roman Trofimenko’s firm "Onyx-Co" acted as a guarantor for loans provided by the bank.

It is unknown whether Tatyana Gavrish is involved in this activity of her employee, but, as the publication “Argument” writes, “in order to start accepting and depositing money himself, and not just getting pennies, while at the bottom of the corrupt food chain, Roman Trofimenko began collaborating with the well-known Kharkov law firm “ILF” (EDRPOU 41345111) of Tatyana Stepanovna Gavrish (yes, the daughter of “that very” ex-MP Stepan Gavrish). In recent years, Tatyana Stepanovna has noticeably lost both her business reputation and respectable clients, so she no longer wants to deal with such frankly dubious “partners” as Trofimenko and others like him. Trofimenko began to "outsource" the frankly dirty cases of Gavrish’s clients and work in tandem with the criminal elements of her immediate circle. Since then, all further practice of lawyer R. Trofimenko has been inextricably linked with corruption in the courts, deception of clients, unethical and illegal methods of work."

It is unknown what role Roman Trofimenko actually plays in Tatyana Gavrish’s firm, but in their publication, the journalists of “Argument” very accurately noted one indisputable fact: “Tatyana Gavrish has lost both her business reputation and respectable clients.” It is unknown whether this was a consequence of cooperation with Yuriy Ivanyushchenko. But the fact remains that the affairs of JSC “ILF Law Firm” are not going very well. The firm is actually supported by servicing state structures:

Another law firm of Tatyana Gavrish, Inyurpolis, is in the red, and even government tenders are no help here:

So, judging by everything, things are really not going well for Tatyana Stepanovna Gavrish after the sunset of her father’s star. True, this does not explain her signature under the letter of Alexander Kifak in Google, but it can be assumed that the long-standing ties with Yuriy Ivanyushchenko did come back to haunt the daughter of Viktor Medvedchuk’s comrade-in-arms, who after the victory of the "Orange Revolution" openly played on the field of "Donetsk". Most likely, the roots go there. But this is already an old story and it is unlikely that it will be possible to reliably reconstruct anything.

In the meantime, Tatyana Gavrish has received another minute of fame. True, she hardly counted on it when she signed Alexander Kifak’s letter. Or maybe she did count on it, but there was nowhere to go - despite the good face that Tatyana Stepanovna Gavrish is trying to keep on her face, her game (or rather, her professional activity) has been getting worse and worse lately.
