The court finally declared Roskomsnabbank bankrupt, which, according to official data from the Central Bank, has a hole in its balance sheet of 18 billion 682 million rubles. The main reason for the bankruptcy was fraud with depositors’ money through the affiliated pyramid "Gold Reserve", which appropriated the funds of thousands of gullible pensioners. The bank was personally managed by Rifat Garipov, who was on the bank’s board of directors.

There is an opinion that Flyur Gallyamov’s departure from politics was connected with pressure from the security forces.
